THE SNACK
About Kerala banana chips
Nendran is the large Kerala plantain prized for chips. Sliced thin and fried in coconut oil, it turns golden, crisp and fragrant. Banana chips are a fixture of the traditional Kerala feast, where they sit beside sharkara upperi (jaggery-coated chips), and of every Kerala tea shop and homesick lunch box.
Coconut oil is what gives traditional banana chips their aroma, and it is the oil we use. Our Banana Chips (Salted) come in 200 g resealable packs; ask us about bulk orders and festival gift boxes.
Prices are given on enquiry: send an order enquiry and we will call you with today’s price.
