Who we are

This website, ararafoods.com, is run by Arara Foods, a Kerala snack maker based in Vellamunda, Wayanad, Kerala, India. In this policy “we” and “us” mean Arara Foods. You can reach us at hello@ararafoods.com, by phone on 08943 630 562 or by post at Arara Food products, Vellamunda, Wayanad, Keralam, 670731.

What we collect

We collect personal details only when you send them to us:

• The order form: your name, mobile number, and (if you choose to give them) your email address, city or PIN code, enquiry type, products, quantity, preferred call time and message.
• The chat window: your name, your mobile number and any message you type.
• Technical details that come with every enquiry: the web page you sent it from, the time it was received and your IP address. We use these to stop spam and abuse.

Like every website, our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, date and the pages requested). We do not use cookies, advertising networks or analytics tools on this site.

Why we use your details

• To call or write back to you about your enquiry, give you today’s price and arrange your order.
• To keep the site and our mailbox safe from spam, automated abuse and attacks.
• To keep the records we need to run our business and deal with any order that follows your enquiry.

Our reason for using your details in the first two cases is that you asked us to contact you (you agree to this by ticking the consent box in the form), and that protecting the website is a legitimate need of ours. We do not use your details for marketing messages unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.

Who sees your details

Enquiries are sent by email to the Arara Foods team, who read them and call you back. Our website hosting and the sending of these emails are provided by Hostinger, and the team’s mailboxes are with email providers such as Hostinger and Google, which process the data on our behalf. If we switch on a bot-check from Cloudflare (Turnstile), it will also receive technical details about your visit to check you are a person. We share your details with others only where the law requires it.

Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no cookies. Your browser keeps two small technical values on your own device, which are never sent to us: the time of your last enquiry (so that you cannot accidentally send the same message twice) and whether you closed the chat window during this visit. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

Spam protection records

To limit abuse, the website’s server keeps short-lived counters that note a hashed form of an IP address or mobile number and the time of recent enquiries. These files are deleted automatically after a few hours.

How long we keep your details

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your request and any order that follows, and for our normal business records. We then delete it or remove the personal details. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to tell you what personal details we hold about you, to correct them, to delete them and to stop using them. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@ararafoods.com from the email address you used, or tell us the mobile number you used, and we will reply within a reasonable time and in any case within the time the law requires. If you are unhappy with how we handled your details, please tell us first so that we can put it right.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. The enquiry form is protected by signed one-time tokens, rate limits and filters against automated abuse, and access to our mailbox and hosting account is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect your details.

Children

This website is meant for adults placing orders. We do not knowingly collect details from children. If you think a child has sent us their details, please write to us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles your details, we will update this page and its date.
